John dashed down the grimy alley after Sherlock, excited to see the crime scene before it was cleared (though John knew he just wanted to see the corpse before anyone moved it)
He reached the scene and ducked under the police tape, walking to where Sherlock was crouched next to a body, rifling through the man’s pockets in search for clues.
John walked around to the other side and inspected the man’s face, and listed facts as Sherlock continued his pilfering.
"Male, mid-thirties" John said, tipping the man’s head up as he looked at the bruised on the his neck

"Sherlock, I made tea." John said from the kitchen.
Sherlock walked in from the living room, and immediately it caught his attention that there were red plastic cups sitting on the counter rather than the usual mugs. "Why are you using plastic cups?"
"Well you cracked the last of our mugs with your last experiment, making them unusable, so this is all we have." John replied while handing Sherlock one of the red solo cups filled to almost to the top with tea. The detective noticed a slightly different aroma coming from the tea. “This is pointless you know, John,” Sherlock said with an exasperated sigh, “I will deduce the position of every egg prior to even looking.”
John smiled, “I know, but you’ve never had an Easter Egg Hunt and it’s about time you did! I don’t care how fast or slow you go, besides you love deducing things, so this is like an extra fun game for you; to take your mind off the lack of serial killers at the moment.
